Biographical Sketch / Administrative History

Dr. Graham Ross, 1889-1980, graduated from medicine at McGill in 1913. He served overseas with the 6th Field Ambulance, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He became a prominent pediatrician in Montreal. He served as Norman Bethune’s best man at one of his weddings to Frances Penney.

Scope and Content

Fonds contains the final manuscript of Paediatrics in Canada, a text on the 6th Field Ambulance, C.E.F. by Graham Ross and a review of three cases of hyper-vitaminosis syndrome, with four X-rays from the Department of Pathology of the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The manuscript of Paediatrics in Canada was given by his daughter Helen Ross, 27 July 1981; and the other documents were given by Dr. Graham Ross, via McGill Medical Library, 22 April 1980. Old accession numbers 652 and 807.
